About Me

I have spent thirty years in Victoria teaching art and art history to elementary and high school students. Originally from Scotland, I moved to Canada in the early seventies and took time off to raise my children. After earning a B.Ed in art education from U.Vic, I reignited my teaching career, focusing on integrating art history into the curriculum. I have given workshops for both students and teachers in Canada and the US, and received a BC Art Teachers Award of Excellence, along with writing for the BC Art Teachers Journal.

Since retiring, I have rediscovered my passion for art, developing my painting style and experimenting with different media. I am excited about this new chapter in my life, taking on commissions and exhibiting in solo and group shows. Currently, I’m exploring oils, which complement my style.
